    posted Oct 13, 2009, 12:54 AM by Heidi Jameson   [ updated Sep 10, 2012, 8:39 AM ]

Our meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, excluding summer months and December, and are posted on our website, here and on our calendar.

Our "in person" meetings are held at Nova Middle School in the Information (Media) Center, and parents in the northern part of the county can attend live via videoconferencing at Lyons Creek Middle School Media Center.

What is an Educational Plan and EP Meeting?

    posted Oct 13, 2009, 12:53 AM by Heidi Jameson   [ updated Feb 21, 2012, 1:51 PM ]

An EP (Educational Plan) is a written plan for each child who is identified as eligible for gifted education/services and has no other special education needs. It describes the special educational needs of the student related to his or her areas of giftedness. It also identifies the services that will be provided by the school. Parents are partners with schools and school district personnel in developing and revising the EP for their child. The Educational Plan (EP) is a legal document.

To prepare for a first or semi-annual EP meeting, please read through the Broward Gifted Parent Educational Plan website.  This site is the most useful tool in helping parents prepare for EP meetings.
